GE Maintenance Solutions (GEMS) successfully delivered the Karumba BOD Tank 1 Aeration Upgrade for Sibanye Stillwater. The project involved removing outdated aeration components adding a new EDI-supplied aeration system.
In May 2025, GEMS was awarded the IRC contract to maintain inlet screens across six wastewater treatment plants, with key repairs already completed at Clermont WWTP.
GEMS overhauled inlet screens and screw conveyors at Proserpine Wastewater Treatment Plant in November 2024, keeping operations online throughout.
GEMS installs, maintains, and overhauls STP Inlet Screening Systems including band screens, screw conveyors, drum screens, and compactors.
GEMS was engaged to manage the Mackay South Waste Recycling Facility (MSWRF) SBR Diffuser replacements and SBR cleans.
GEMS replaced the existing Inlet Screens and Screw Compactor at the Mackay North Waste Recycling Facility (MNWRF).
GEMS fabricated & installed 4 sets of access stairs at Mackay North Waste Recycling Facility (MNWRF) for the Mackay Regional Council (MRC).
GEMS successfully performed emergency warranty repairs and installed three new membranes at the Yeppoon STP, providing both labour and equipment for the membrane works.
