Proserpine Inlet Screen Overhauls
In November 2024, GEMS was engaged by Whitsunday Regional Council to overhaul inlet screens and screw conveyors at the Proserpine Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The works included basket, brush, and liner replacement, weld repairs, blasting and repainting of screws, and full reinstallation — all completed while keeping the plant operational.
CANNONVALE STP MEMBRANE REPLACEMENTS
GEMS was engaged by Veolia to replace the membranes at Cannonvale STP and install new ones.
Our scope was to fabricate 12 x stainless membrane frames, fabricate new aeration pipework, supply labour, cranes, scaffolding, and equipment to install the new membranes.
Also included was the dismantling and disposal of the old membranes.
YEPOON STP MEMBRANE WORKS
GE Maintenance Solutions was engaged to swiftly handle the installation of three new membranes and execute warranty repairs on existing ones at the Yepoon Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
This urgent project, inspired by GEM's successful membrane replacement work at the Cannonvale STP, required meticulous planning and execution within a tight 21-day timeline, involving material procurement, stainless steel frame fabrication, bracket installation, core drilling, and membrane replacement.
