GE Maintenance Solutions (GEMS) received a project assignment from Veolia to undertake membrane replacements at the Cannonvale Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), including the installation of brand-new membrane units.

Within the project's framework, GEMS' responsibilities encompassed several critical aspects. Firstly, they were tasked with the fabrication of a total of twelve (12) stainless steel membrane frames, an essential component of the membrane replacement process. Additionally, GEMS took charge of creating new aeration pipework necessary for the updated system, providing not only the workforce but also coordinating the use of cranes, scaffolding, and various specialized equipment required for the successful installation of the new membranes.

GEMS was responsible for managing the careful dismantling of the existing membranes, ensuring their proper disposal in accordance with environmental regulations. This multifaceted project highlighted GEMS' proficiency in handling complex membrane replacement initiatives for wastewater treatment facilities, reinforcing their commitment to delivering comprehensive solutions in the field of maintenance and infrastructure services.
